Lemon tea first thing every morning – This is an old favourite that I learned from my beautiful Nan, she swore blind that drinking lemon tea first thing in the morning before anything else was her secret to staying healthy, and my studies have proved her right.
My lovely Nan passed away at the ripe young age of 89 and she still had gorgeous skin even then which she said was due to her lemon tea!
Out of all of my studies, Ayurveda is my favourite, I love the philosophy it just makes so much sense.
Ayurveda teaches us to focus on morning rituals which work to align the body with nature’s rhythms, balance the doshas and develop self-esteem and self-discipline. I have to agree, I love my morning rituals and if I let go of them I sure see the difference.
Warm lemon water in the morning helps to kick start our metabolism for the day, it assists the liver and digestive system, therefore it helps us to control weight, great news – and that is just one benefit of lemon tea.
